The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Florida First Coast Chapter has recognized four 澳门足彩app projects as winners of its 2024 Eagle Awards, the chapter’s highest recognition.
The ABC’s Excellence in Construction Awards program raises construction standards by recognizing the workmanship of those who contribute and by showcasing the results of their commitment. Entries are judged on execution of design, quality of craftsmanship, attention to detail, proper installation, outstanding planning and coordination efforts, challenges successfully overcome, project complexity, custom materials, safety programs and owner satisfaction.
Eagle Award recipients must earn 80% or more of the available points and score highest in their selected category.

Fort Macon Hurricane Rebuild
澳门足彩app constructed the new three-story, 29,145-square-foot Multi-Mission Building (MMB) at Station Fort Macon with its supporting site work and utilities to replace four existing facilities damaged by Hurricane Florence and slated for demolition. The Coast Guard sought to consolidate services and operations in a new, modern MMB designed to meet the demands of maintaining its fleet.
The MMB comprises upgraded office spaces, a boat maintenance bay, berthing units (living/sleeping quarters), a fitness center and medical space in one convenient location to provide mission-critical support and improved amenities to active-duty Coast Guard members on base.
The MMB is certified through the Green Building Initiative in accordance with the 2016 Guiding Principles for Sustainable Federal Buildings. Major features are the high-performance and energy-efficient building systems, low-impact development features incorporated into the site, superior building envelope construction and low-VOC and no ozone-depleting or high global warming potential materials and substances. The final facility reduced energy consumption by at least 30%.
澳门足彩app’s Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team created a 3D model and worked with a third-party concrete scanning company to resolve all potential conflicts between rebar strands in the hollow core precast planks and through-floor penetrations for building infrastructure. The result was a successful installation with little to no impact on the precast structure. Project ECO
In late 2020, 澳门足彩app was engaged to design and build a spirits manufacturing and distribution facility in South Carolina to serve as an East Coast operations center. Speed to market was a priority for the client, and despite supply chain delays and more than three times the average count of adverse weather days, 澳门足彩app delivered the 1,400,000-square-foot project by the October 2022 deadline. The clients began production two weeks earlier than scheduled.
Integrating advanced tools such as Navisworks, total stations and innovative scanning improved the project’s design and construction efficiency. By catching clashes early, the team minimized costly change orders and ensured smooth progress. Detailed reports and scans brought enhanced clarity and understanding to the regularly scheduled meetings with stakeholders.
A wastewater pretreatment facility was needed to manage industrial wastewater before discharge into Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW). The system, designed for 200,000 gallons per day and future scalability, included an influent pump station, rotary drum screen, equalization tank, pH adjustment system and calamity tank. 澳门足彩app ensured regulatory compliance and managed permitting with local and state authorities.
Mars Wrigley Project Y
In December 2021, 澳门足彩app was chosen to complete a Guaranteed Maximum Price contract for Mars Wrigley’s Non-Nut Fill Bar line expansion, involving a 68,000-square-foot packaging hall expansion, a 4,500-square-foot raw materials silo building addition, and a 31,000-square-foot process area renovation. Despite challenges related to strict food and plant safety standards, 澳门足彩app completed the expansion while maintaining operations during construction.
Rigorous clash detection helped the team identify and resolve potential conflicts early, ensuring smooth integration of new and existing systems while minimizing rework and delays.
The project faced significant environmental challenges during earthmoving, which required an extended drainage system to manage heavy rainfall. Despite setbacks, effective coordination allowed the team to stay on schedule. 澳门足彩app further minimized disruptions by embracing off-site fabrication for critical components, which reduced on-site assembly time, and enhanced quality control with thorough inspections. Using Procore, a mobile construction management platform, streamlined communication and collaboration and ensured efficient execution with minimal impact on plant operations.
Jacksonville Jaguars’ Miller Electric Center
澳门足彩app served as the construction manager at risk on Miller Electric Center, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice and sports performance facility. The team worked diligently with its contract partners, stacking trades and working 24/7 for the last seven months of the project’s 18-month schedule to deliver the project in time for the team’s 2023 training camp.
Miller Electric Center is one of a series of steps the Jaguars and the City of Jacksonville are taking that will lead to the creation of the Stadium of the Future, a total renovation of EverBank Stadium. The team relocated all football operations from inside the existing stadium to the dedicated, new facility.
The new, state-of-the-art, 125,000-square-foot sports performance center is maintained by the Jaguars and owned by the city. It includes locker rooms, training and recovery areas, medical support facilities, a weight room, player dining, office space and a draft room. It also features 2,090-seat shaded grandstand seats in the fan amenity area, complete with concessions, restrooms, public art and a Fanatics Pro Shop.
The footprint of the new facility is 18 acres and includes a 96,000-square-foot indoor practice field and two outdoor fields.
